In the old days, low-budget productions were usually limited to a few locations. But with the advent of digital backgrounds, at little or no cost, you can move the action to scores of settings. This happens with fascinating artistry in Jeremy Massa’s “First Time for Everything.” In addition to directing, Massa sings in this kaleidoscopic  three-minute rap video. The backgrounds range from realistic (a merry-go-round, a gun shop) to nostalgic (an ancient computer screen) to surreal (a graphical cityscape). The imagery is terrific, but it does not upstage Massa’s clever lyrics (pasted in below) and masterful performance.
