Graphic arts have been around more than 15,000 years old. Theater about 3,000 years. Movies are the new kid on the block, not yet a century and a half old. And yet, the history is astonishing.
- 1896: exhibition of the first popular movie (“Arrival of a Train at La Ciotat“)
- 1929: the first Academy Awards Ceremony
- 1952: Cinerama demonstrated in New York City
And now, added to that memorable list:
- March, 2015: the first MojoCon Conference.
Don’t laugh. Years from now everyone will be saying, “I was there” along with mobile journalists and filmmakers from countries around the world including Africa, the USA, Spain, the UK, and—of course—Ireland, which was the host country.
In case you weren’t among the lucky, here’s an eyewitness report by Marc Settle, a trainer at the BBC Academy.
