Jeremy Hurlburt’s “Hobby Horse,” a story of neglected dreams, has won the Grand Prize at The Original iPhone Film Festival for 2014-15. The short film was shot using both an iPhone 5 and an iPhone 6.

During the production Hurlburt used FiLMic Pro and an OlloClip wide-angle lens. The film demonstrates the use of cinema verite in a fiction movie.
MMM will publish an interview with the director in early July.
The Original iPhone Film Festival’s mission is “to celebrate, support & bring together this Apple IOS filmmaking community and to provide a showcase for the fantastic creativity that’s been unleashed with the refinement of these tools.” The Festival is now accepting submissions for their next competition. Deadline is September 1, 2015.
