At an Apple Town Hall Meeting today (March 21, 2016), Apple CEO Tim Cook announced the arrival of the iPhone SE, similar in size to the 5 series, but far more powerful. But upstaging the product news was Cook’s discussion of digital privacy. He expressed regret that the company finds itself at odds with the government, but explain why Apple’s position is consistent with deep American values.
The presentation also included a 40-second video documenting the company’s history in anticipation of its 40th birthday on April 1.
Details about the iPhone SE, priced starting at $399, can be found on Apple’s site. For more objective comments, see the Verge’s preview and a piece at engadget.
