SJ van Breda is a master at using film art to celebrate the work and philosophies of South African artists. “A State of Flow” continues van Breda’s mission, giving us a dazzling mini-doc about the painter Sarah Grace. While the movie is making the festival rounds, the one-minute teaser gives us a glimpse of the visions of both creatives.

About SJ van Breda

SJ van Breda first trained as a mechanical engineer. After working for two years in the aerospace industry, she switched direction, entered the Vancouver Film School, and has become one of the world’s top documentary mobile filmmakers. About the Production

“A State of Flow” was shot with the Xiaomi Mi11 and Mi10 smartphones and the Filmic Pro camera app. Stability was achieved using the Zhiyun Smooth 5 and Zhiyun Monopod.
