The popular image-sharing site Imgur now makes it possible to post videos. And that makes possible audio GIFS.

Will the impact be as great as what happened when the “Jazz Singer” was released in 1927?  With running time limited to 30 seconds, greatness could be a challenge. Yet a quick Google search reveals that there have been many clever 30-second movies such as Matthew Vaughan’s appropriately titled “Thirty Second Film” and, of course, lots of memorable half-minute commercials.
