January 7 is the deadline for submitting a film to the New York City Drone Film Festival. If you have a drone-shot movie, here’s where you’ll find  the submission information.

If you’re quick on the draw but would value some advice on shooting narrative movies with a drone, the Festival has produced a short video in which prize-winning drone moviemaking Chris Castor offers “5 Tips for Shooting Better Narrative Drone Films.”  You’ll find Castor’s insights valuable even if you’re not ready to enter this year’s NYC Drone Film Festival.
