After viewing Sean Baker’s TANGERINE, the audience at this year’s Sundance Festival were astonished to learn that the movie was shot entirely on iPhone 5s.

We haven’t seen the movie yet—it’s about a transgender hooker whose spends Christmas Eve searching for her pimp. But we confess we’re astonished at how fast the mobile moviemaking revolution is going. We’ve decided never again to say–or think—that mobile movies can’t compete with Hollywood.
