Kate Fahey didn’t set out to prove anything to the world. All she wanted to do was be good at operating a gigantic tower crane—a piece of equipment critical to building skyscrapers. That achievement has opened women’s eyes to the possibilities of work in the male-dominated, high-paying construction industry.

Shooting a two-minute video high off the ground in a cramped space was a challenge. To show how it was done, RTEnews camera operator Colm Hand created a short making-of video. Spoiler alert: GoPro played a key role in the production.
