Free Music Archive

Free Music Archive (FMA) offers free downloads under Creative Commons and other licenses.  While it’s nice to be able to download music for free, the question is: Can you use the music in a video project for free.

In many cases, the answer is “Yes,” you can incorporate the music into your video project without paying a fee as long as your video is noncommercial. You may have to pay if your project is done as a commercial venture. When you find music you like, you can read the accompanying text which spells out the licenses available covering various uses, and the fees if any. Genres include are:

Blues, Classical, Country, Electronic, Experimental, Folk, Hip-Hop, Instrumental, International, Jazz, Old-time/History, Pop, Rock, Soul-RnB and Spoken.
