The Mobile Innovation Network and Association (MINA) is the longest running film festival dedicated to celebrating mobile and smartphone filmmaking internationally. Their mission is to create connections between filmmakers, communities and the creative industries.
This year’s competition—for videos running 8 minutes or less— features five submission categories:
- Mobile, smartphone and pocket films (open to everyone)
- New Voices : Next Gen smartphone filmmakers—a category for young and emerging filmmakers (including students
- Mobile Cinematic VR & 360° Video Production: The Future is Now – a category for Cinematic VR and 360° Video Production
- MoJo YAJA (Young Art Journalism) award for Mobile Journalism
- MoJo, Mobile Storytelling, micro-movies & micro-formats – a category for live streaming, mobile social media apps, drones and other pocket cameras (such as GoPro) & mobile devices
The early bird deadline is May 30, 2018. The regular deadline is July 31, 2018. The festival event is November 16, 2018. You can submit via FilmFreeway
