When we see a movie that we love, many of us find that a “making of” video enhances our appreciation of the work. The same phenomenon applies with oil painting, as we see in SJ van Breda’s “Jane Digby,” a short documentary about a noted South African artist. This beautiful behind the scenes video reveals the painter’s quick and spontaneous approach, while also sharing her philosophy of art and life. “Jane Digby,” which was a finalist in this year’s Filmic Fest, has also been chosen as a finalist in the Mobile Movie of the Year competition. You can see all the finalists here.
