When it comes to working, movies provide a limited view. The focus is on a few high-drama vocations such as policing, healing, and spying. As an antidote, “ChildBoss” celebrates the excitement and rewards of more familiar work, specifically, raising eggs, baking bread, and playing music. Directed by Angela Blake, the documentary focuses on a group of young Australians who reflect thoughtfully on their work experiences. The movie—shot by Rob Layton using an iPhone 14—is making the rounds of festivals. We’ll let you know when it’s online. For now, enjoy the trailer.
