Halloween movies date back at least to “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown” (1966). But for most people, the genre’s defining moment came with the release of John Carpenter’s “Halloween” (1978). In that darker tradition, here’s “Trick or Treat.” Dee Manzano wrote, directed, and edited this delightful (i.e., frightful) short. Spoiler alert:  Manzano’s choice of Los Lobos’ “We Belong Together” is brilliant audio touch.
