Two filmmakers—each campaigning against violence—share MobileMovieMaking’s 2020 People’s Choice Award. In addition to the subject matter, the two films have in common the fact that the filmmakers are the onscreen protagonists.
Iranian filmmaker Sanaz Ghotb won with “Shoot,” a one-minute dark comedy about sexual harassment and women’s empowerment. One viewer wrote that the movie “gives me hope and inspiration.” You can the film and read an interview with Ghotb here.
