If you want an analytical definition of anxiety, you’ll find it in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5-TR). There, you’ll find a “standard set of symptoms” useful in making a diagnosis. But for a real-world, impactful understanding of the malady, check out Rob Leach’s “Anxiety Train.” This honest and challenging movie contains sequences designed to give audiences a feeling of what anxiety sufferers live with. But the film isn’t grim. The troubled but courageous protagonist—brilliantly played by Lizzie Frain—takes us on a journey with a climax that’s realistically hopeful.
