Winners of the Mini-doc Contest

Malyvann Keo’s “The Movie Man  3” has won first place in MobileMovieMaking’s Mini-doc contest. Irish video journalist Philip Bromwell, who reviewed all the entries, commented that he appreciated the French filmmaker’s “ambition and imagination” plus the how-to tips at the end of the video.

Keo’s prize is video training provided by Larry Jordan, a producer, director, editor, and trainer based in Los Angeles.

Second place went to Erez Sitzer’s “Miyako.” Bromwell said that the nicely composed single shot “has a hypnotic quality” that drew him in. “Miyako” was filmed in Japan.

Third place was Zikica Jovanovic’s “Aladdin & The Magic Bin,” filmed in Serbia. Bromwell applauded the film’s human story.

Other countries represented by the entries are Brazil, Bulgaria, Ecuador, Germany, India, Ireland, New Zealand, Tanzania, and the USA.
